Deep Down

The one I watched was 1980 version. The movie has been redone in 2002. This movie has unbelievable length of time hypnotizing – Not only a psychiatrist is the master of hypnosis, but also a lawyer out of nowhere knows skillfully how to hypnotize. Technically speaking the movie is quite doubtful – This movie is full of “hypnotic” magics like putting people into deep trance by simply touching your jaw; or more wondrously, the psychiatrist pushed a button on the control panel and remote controlled the client into a deep trance, all out of the “client’s” own will! Nevertheless, the message in the movie is quite worth pondering: Everybody has the ability to dream into a reality.
Well, the scary part is, you don’t know what your tonight’s dream will be, so you are getting tomorrow’s reality very unconsciously.

A small part of the movie is given to aliens, who are described as more advanced, more compassionate, more intelligent and fun beings. Ironically it is the aliens who uttered the “Golden Rules” to the doctor: Do to others as you would have them do to you. Don’t do anything to anyone under hypnosis that you would not want done to you.
